As a SAHM I know how hard it is to make ends meet. When my first two children were babies, I didn’t have the extra funds for anything except the bare necessities, and as such was never able to purchase a baby sling. My hands sure stayed full! When my third child was born I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase slings, and what a difference they make! I immediately became a baby wearing advocate.
For years I have been volunteering my Doula services and parenting classes to young mothers in my area. Recently I was very blessed to join a program with a name brand clothing company that makes breastfeeding apparel. They donate items to me and I give them to breastfeeding mothers who otherwise would not be able to afford breastfeeding clothes. This got me thinking about how I would love to also be able to offer baby slings to mothers, and the “No Mother Left Behind” program was launched. Individuals and businesses send slings to us and we in turn distribute them to mothers in need.
